Hi everyone!

I'm a lifelong Chicagoan, taught in the K-12 school system for 14 years, and spent my summers working at amazing day camps across the city.

 

I'm now a homeschool parent, live with my husband Joe and two children in Chicago’s Mayfair neighborhood. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I created a series of immersive field trips around Chicagoland to recreate the feeling of being in another country. Around the World in Chicago was born, encouraged by my young kids’ love of all things cultural.

My children have been part of the IPHG community since 2021. I have taught a range of classes for IPHG since 2022. I believe all people learn best through engaging learning experiences that allow each learner to explore at their own pace based on their individual interests, and I implement this philosophy within the classes I teach.
