Hello fellow homeschooling families, I'm Julia! 

I’ve had a lifelong love for teaching and always imagined myself teaching within and sending my children to public school. After getting my degree in elementary education, I had my first child and started a home daycare that I ran for ten years. Both my oldest and middle child went off to traditional school, but after three years we took the leap into homeschooling. Since fall 2020 we’ve spent our days learning together, using our kitchen table for schoolwork, and the outdoors as our classroom.
 

IPHG is the community we need as homeschoolers in a big city. It’s the convenience of being able to pick and choose how we want to extended learning beyond our home. And it’s the connection we continue to build as we meet new friends and see old friends semester after semester.
