
Tumbling and Cooking Camp
Our 2025 Tumbling and Cooking camp is for students age 6-12. It will run for the month of May, meeting once a week on Tuesdays from 9AM- 1:30PM (in the gymnasium). Students will receive both academic enrichment and social development opportunities.
This program begins on May 6th and ends May 27th.​

Daily Schedule
9:00-9:15- Drop off
9:15- 10:30- Tumbling
10:45-12:00- Cooking
12:00- 12:30- Lunch (brought from home)
12:30-1:15- Open gym/ activity time
1:30- Pick up
CLASS TOPICS

Tumbling
Instructor: Shanti Johnson
​
In this class students will learn skills to strengthen their body and improve balance and focus. Everyone will be encouraged to participate in using the balance beam, mini trampoline, yoga balls, and floor mats. Based on individual interest and ability, students will work on stretching, proper form, and completion of tumbling techniques including (but not limited to) summersaults, cartwheels, round offs, back bends, and back walk overs.

Cooking

In this class students will cook or bake different food each week. We will experiment with a variety of flavors and food combinations creating tasty treats that everyone can enjoy during lunch or take home.
